Who we are

In today’s world of disconnection, division, and emotional strain, people are struggling with how to love themselves and others well. This affects our work lives, families, communities, and our society.

The Learning Love Foundation addresses this growing need by teaching practical, research-informed skills in emotional intelligence, relationship-building, and personal growth.

We work with businesses, families, communities, churches, and organizations to build healthy thriving relationships in every area of life. Imagine a day when you go to work and love what you do, go home to a healthy, happy family life, and navigate life in a community you enjoy. This is the dream that can become reality. Let us show you how.

Mark’s Story

After experiencing a toxic first marriage and a painful divorce, I learned the hard way just how devastating unhealthy relationships can be. Through personal experience and years of study in both psychology and theology, I discover the five components of love that have led to amazing relationships, including in my marriage to my second wife Heather.

I’ve had a bad marriage and a good marriage and I can tell you – good is better. Heather and I love our life of adventure. Traveling to far away places, living for a while in Prague in the Czech Republic (until COVID messed up those plans), and we even traveled the country as professional house-sitters and pet-sitters. Our three boys are grown and living their own lives so we thought, why not see what’s out there.

I hold a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, a Masters of Divinity, a Doctor of Ministry, with work experience as a therapist, minister, disaster recovery administator, addiction recovery program director, and radio host. I know that through the five components of love, lives can be transformed, relationships can grow, workplaces can thrive, and everyone can live a life that matters with healthy relationships that last.
